Round 54 of the FCC's reauction of returned PCS licenses drew no new bids, signaling the end of billing. The commission moved
earlier today to conduct eight rounds of bidding, accelerating the race to the finish. Round 53 brought in only two new bids (on the
heels of a pair of bids in the 52nd round).

The net total for all 356 licenses up for bid ended at more than $411.8 million. Forty-two licenses drew no bids. More detail on the
final results will follow in tomorrow's edition.
