-- Merger Brings Tariffs, Certifications, Customers and Instant Network for IP Gateways --
IPVoice Communications Inc. IPVC announced Tuesday the acquisition of Independent Network Services (INS) a switchless reseller of telephone service based in Phoenix.
INS will become a wholly owned subsidiary of IPVC. Barbara S. Will, chairperson and COO of IPVC, said: "The acquisition of INS provides IPVC with tariffs and certifications in 45 of the contiguous 48 states, resulting in tremendous savings for IPVC in terms of time and money. INS also brings with it a carrier identification code (CIC) that will make IPVC fully compliant with FCC regulations and able to offer dial one and 10XXX calling across the Internet. Once our network of TrueConnect(tm) Gateways is in place, IPVC will offer a truly remarkable domestic product, and will make IPVC a severe thorn in the side of the competition, i.e. Sprint FON , Inter-Tel INTL and STC Telecom STCC . The value of this alone to IPVC runs into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and gives us numerous opportunities to provide other products and services."
According to INS President Peter Stazzone: "INS has provided telecommunications services nationwide for over four years. The key to success in our business has been providing superior products and services to our customers at competitive prices. The acquisition of INS by IPVC creates a tremendous upside potential for our customers in their ability to take advantage of the explosive potential and substantial cost savings in Internet telephony. By utilizing IPVC's technology, we can quickly adapt to the changes taking place in telecommunications applications, and deliver the products and services to the market created by Internet technology. I am excited about becoming part of a public company that allows INS access to capital necessary to finance the projected growth rate, and the opportunity to capitalize on synergies not previously available."
As a result of the acquisition, Stazzone will become IPVC's chief financial officer. "Mr. Stazzone is an experienced senior professional financial officer and CPA with broad experience in the telecommunications industry," Ms. Will added. "Once we have equipped INS with more cost-effective domestic and international products, we will deploy even more gateways, which, of course, will add significantly to our revenue stream."
