I recently got in this as a value play. Nice to start seeing consensus that it has real value and not an internet hype. Have to compliment the company statement over the past few days where they said basically that they wouldn't throw money away to buy internet customers. More money means more losses. Internet shoppers have no loyalty. They don't smell the coffee.

No way that Amazon will make money within the next 5 years. REally is a house of cards and once it is seen, the result will be disastrous. Only thing that can save Amazon is that they can use their extremely high priced shares to diversify into companies and businesses that might make money.

That's why I think it makes sense that Amazon may buy Borders!! Would add instant credibility and would enhance its balance sheet.

Have to also say that I went to my first Borders with kids and we were all impressed. I have thought I would always buy from the internet. On our tour, there was something for everyone. CD's and great prices for my teenager and coffee, music, places to browse for all of us. When I first told my kids, we were going to a bookstore, they said (you know) "boring". Yet I couldn't pull them out of there. So Peter Lynch this ones for you.

This may not hit 150 within the next 6 months, but 40 is certainly doable. On the other hand, if the market collapses, it won't go down much. Can you say the same about AMAZON??
