You get no argument from me! I mostly use Datek, but DLJ would let me do a trade first and give 3 - 5 days grace to send in the money (Although, that doesn't work well for daytrades; as I found out), whereas Datek, like most discounters, require funds to be in the acct prior to trading.

I tried order entry systems (like thru Tera Nova / Realtick III), but seemed kinda pricey to use for day to day on small trades (400 shares). If I had more capital, that might be a different story.

As soon as my checks clear and I get out of my current holdings at DLJ, I'm threw with them! They have cost me lots of money!
