Well Greg I wouldn't advise anyone to get into this stock unless they were willing to subject themselves to a lot of short term pain. BBTK has not had the most impressive track record as I'm sure you are well aware. The one thing IMHO, that BBT has going for them is the alliance with BOSCH and LUCENT. To quote a paragraph from BBT's most recent earnings statement,

"During this second full quarter of implementation of
the company new business strategy, there continues
to be significant reductions in expenses and the
company's cash burn rate. These results are being
achieved without compromising strategic plan
initiatives, which include developing a new product for
the access network, a narrowband optical networking
unit for Lucent and a project with Bosch Telecom to
develop the full service access network. All projects
are progressing according to schedule."

I have spoken to Rick Jones at BBT and I encourage you to do the same if you want more detailed info regarding their strategic plans, etc. I have been in and out of BBTK for a few years now, and I recently bought damn near close to a buck. I'm not saying to "buy now," but I think if you can get em near $1.00 it's worth a short term hold. I expect that we will start seeing news on BBT in Q4 1999 and then more frequent updates in Q1 2000 after the company implements its "integrated access platform."

Seems to me though that more investors on SI are looking for the quick buck. That won't happen with BBT. You'll have to exercise more patience.
