Hi -- Not being a short term trader, I can't comment on your approach in detail. Perhaps Telescan backtesting can show a profit for an approximation of your technique; I'll give it a try. Since there are no other short sale threads, it would be an idea to cover some other aspects as well. Thus, if a bear market does finally start, it would be great to know in advance what the best short ( or put option or LEAP-put) is...if you are long volatile growth issues like those considered on S.I., then a hedge of that type is highly desirable. So, keep the thread going. Anyone out there have a strong rationale for a LEAP-put? Regards, Logan
