Infowave releases network version of PowerPrint software Infowave Wireless Messaging Inc IWM Shares issued 15,305,655 Apr 12 close $1.70 Tue 13 Apr 99 News Release Mr. Todd Carter reports Infowave Software, Inc. is releasing a network version of its award-winning PowerPrint software. PowerPrint for Networks enables Macintosh computers to connect to virtually any PC printer over an ethernet network. Ethernet is the most widely-installed local area network (LAN) technology in the world. PowerPrint for Networks uses Infowave's suite of PowerPrint drivers, a 100BASE-T10 multiprotocol print server and a printer cable to provide network printing connectivity to more than 1,600 inkjet, laser and specialty PC printers. Infowave's PowerPrint for Networks is a perfect solution for business, education and consumer users in environments where Macintosh and PC computers need to share printers on an ethernet network. PowerPrint for Networks will be available in English, French and German versions and is scheduled to ship worldwide in May 1999 with a suggested retail price of $249.
