Tom,
WELCOME to the HCCA thread! I thought it was interesting that you told us how you learned about this thread. It makes me wonder how many of the negative people on this thread are like the people you have met who are just here for fun.
All of the negative people on this thread are non-investors, so I agree with your theory as to why they're on this thread if they don't believe in the company. Saints they're not, do-gooders they're not.
The phone number of Investor Relations at HCCA is 1 800 465-6185. They have been very accommodating. If no one is there to answer your call, leave a message. A man named Richard will return your call. He is the assistant to the IR man.
I'd also like to give you a little profile of the company. Health Care Centers of America is a diversified company - education, chiropractic, mining, music, and real estate. In the future, they plan to have one-stop health care centers which, IMO, will be very profitable.
As I have said in the past, it is your decision as to whether or not to buy. The 52-week high for the company is 2 7/8, which I have personally seen, since I have been an investor for quite a while. I'm not predicting it will go back to that level anytime soon, but I think it is a realistic goal. The company also hopes to apply to the NASDAQ small cap market.
Unfortunately, there's a lot of garbage on this thread by the people who want to bash this company and the people who believe in it. Don't be scared off, as I suspect Richard might have been. Richard of Investor Relations was kind enough to come on this thread for a while to help answer people's questions, but there were so many insults directed at him, going so far as to call him a scam and saying he does not even work for the company. If you have the time to go back and scan the posts, do so, but try and keep a level head and weed out the negative hypesters and the garbage they bring with them.
If I can be of any help to you, please feel free to e-mail me.
BTW, I was thinking about buying additional shares this morning, but the volume was not significant enough at this time. You can always tell when the stock is about to make a run by the volume. I'm going to buy some more at around .16, if it goes to that.
