SAN FRANCISCO, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by
BancBoston Robertson Stephens, a member of the National Association of
Securities Dealers, CRD number 41271:
BancBoston Robertson Stephens managing director and senior communications
and networking analyst Paul Johnson today reiterated his Buy rating and raised
estimates on VideoServer, Inc. (Nasdaq: VSVR), after the company reported
strong fiscal 1999 first quarter results. VideoServer is the leading provider
of multimedia conference servers (MCS). An MCS is a device that connects
multiple users at multiple locations together simultaneously, to conduct a
video, voice or data conference.
"We are reiterating our Buy rating and adjusting our fiscal 1999 earnings
estimates for VideoServer to reflect the first quarter upside surprise in
profitability, with no forward change to earnings per share estimates. We are
raising our 1999 earnings per share estimate on VideoServer from $0.40 to
$0.42. In addition, we are introducing a fiscal 2000 earnings per share
estimate of $0.60, which represents a 50 percent earnings growth rate," said
Johnson.
"The company's balance sheet continues to impress us and reflects a solid
quarter. We also continue to be impressed with management's overall vision
for the company and operating execution. We believe our estimates remain
conservative," said Johnson.
