Don't you think that buy.com made a profit as well (albeit not NEARLY as much) at $89.00?

Don't you think that the joystick manufacturer made nearly the same profit on both joysticks - regardless of who was reselling them or for how much?

Yes, I am aware that some resellers can get a slightly sweeter deal based on volume, etc. But my point is that the joystick manufacturer "didn't get where they are today by giving stuff away" either.
