WEED on the ask today: Recall that WEED was in the thick of the price surge off the $4 base - just after the tender offer was released on Wall St. (April 6th). Therefore, be careful here and think through what WEED may have done.
April 6: WEED learns of $5.50 tender offer and immediately tenders a ton of stock to Growth Capital at $5.50. WEED begins buying in the open market in order to meet its tender obligations. Price of TAVA surges as shares are soaked up and other Wall St. firms figure it out.
April 12: Price of TAVA breaks out above $5.50 - but has WEED obtained enough shares in the open market to meet its tender obligations? If not, then WEED needs to get the price back down to $5.50, in the meantime having borrowed stock to give to the tender. This is only a possible scenario, but WEED and the others were in a position to tender at $5.50, buy in the open market, and lock in a profit last week, so you can bet somebody was doing it big time. That's why it's time for caution until we get word that the tender has been filled.
