Haven't got the time for full response to your laundry list but:

AOL demographics stink on a relative basis. Last time I looked CompuServe members had, on average, 2-3 times the household income of AOL members. CSi probably increased that gap recently with concentration on its forte: professionals.

AOL demographics merely reflect computer and internet use, I'll even bet they're below general internet users at large. Plebian.
