I bought a couple of enterprise software stocks (ORCL, SAP) yesterday. Seems to me Y2K has the sector depressed, and they'll boom in early 2000.

I don't know too much about SAP in particular, but I know that all the enterprise software packages are lousy. You have two choices: mediocre and worse. The winners just seem to have had first mover advantages, and they'll have the funds to improve their products.

Now Baan -- that's a really lousy package.
