AOL - I think their strategy is to wind up as a cable ISP. Then they can ship a start-up disk to all their customers (just like they do now). This time when you log on you will be over cable instead of dial up. Once you are in the AOL domain it is hard to leave. If you see a url you want to see, you click on it and the AOL browser pops up and takes you around the internet. This way AOL never loses your eyeballs and they can use their browser to sell ads.

With 10 million customers, AOL could really suck up the customer base if they were allowed to get in this position. Steve is trying to get congress to make it so.
