>GIVE ME A BREAK! This is called using logic. Go ahead and >believe that Iomega charges Dell $150 per device, and Dell sells >it for a huge loss at $79. I don't care, it's your money...
I never mentioned a price, and think it is pointless to guess. I couldn't care about $79 vs. $150, EOM drives = more disks sold, that's where the profit can/will come from (if they ever get one).
Re: FACT1 thru FACT7 - I agree w/ all of them. However, a variant of FACT6 could be "IOM is making great efforts to reduce internal cost, to enhance profit margins, and those efforts can eventually result in a profit".
I argue that if market share keeps expanding (thank you Dell) then eventually IOM may convert that into profits, due to my revised FACT6 above (higher margin).
>why don't you come up with another scenario that fits the data. >Explain, exactly why my ~$50 isn't a good guess? >Explain why Iomega lost so much money last year if all their >product lines where profitable?
Who said these things? Not me. I'm not inventing scenarios for the same reason I think you shouldn't - it is complete guesswork. Your $50 is a good guess, as good as any other, since it is a GUESS!! (your word, here). Their product lines are clearly NOT profitable, and I never said they were, you must have me confused w/ another poster.
>Otherwise quit blasting posts that don't support your >dreamland position in Iomega.
I'll blast posts if they are guesses, where those guesses are supporting positions and opinions. I'm certainly not in dreamland, please show me any statement that shows I am. I think IOM has lots of problems to fix, and I'm not certain they can do it. I hope they can, and feel there are better than even odds that they can - but by no means am I certain - no one can be - it's that magic word "GUESS" that applies here as well.
