Ptaskmaster : Possibly, I'm too imaginative and am always looking for a motive or a plan when I don't understand the play. There is, indeed, merit in the US taking over Albania as a strategic base. But the idea is really only in my mind. However, there are many who contend that there is no plan --- that the yuppies simply blundered into it without considering any consequences. The story is that Madeleine believed Milosevec to be a bully who would crack after one or two smacks. After that idea failed, it's now just damage control. Meanwhile, Milo is doing his very best to provoke a major war. His attack on Albania is surely designed to incite NATO into sending in ground troops. Should that happen then Russia/China must do the same. Many civilians are now being killed. Serbs interviewed on TV are very angry. Anything can happen. Things are getting hotter and hotter.
