The environment is getting tougher for Novell, not easier. They have zero future given these results. I don't think excuses or arm-waving are going to save them this time. The market doesn't want their crap operating system, not even as a stop-gap measure and that couldn't be more clear with these results. Novell will TANK tomorrow.
