<Selling PCs to the Poor People>

Gene not unlike the now infamous old lady you ask:
'But how do you expect to sell PC's to those poor people in China?'

For starters if you think all the 2 billion plus people of China and
India are poor and are living on the streets you don't know the half of it.

1)There is a segment of the population called 'the middle class' and 'super rich' in these countries like all the other countries. Please do your own research and see how many these two have at what their income levels and savings rate etc are and let us know.

2)Comparing Per Capita Income to the U.S
Couple of things here:-

Comparing the Per Capita Income of the U.S to that of China and India
has very little or no meaning except may be it will make you feel better.

There is a thing called Purchasing Power Parity ,if I were you I will look that up and see what this means and how this is calculated, then you can sit down and compare the Per Capita Income in a more meaningful way.

and another thing some of these countries of the world do have a thing called a 'parallel/underground economy' which could very well be equal or more than the reported economies of these countries.Reasons are many for this to occur, one of the primary reasons being very high taxes. So in other words there is more to it than meets the eye.

I don't have the time or inclination to go through all of the various reasons as to why your assumptions about these matters are ill conceived.Cutting and pasting couple of articles from biz rags hardly qualifies as research particularly in these matters.

So long.
