This year.

I got my hands on a copy of the Torrey Pines report. They had many
positive things to say about the company.

Looking over the past year, a lot of things have occurred: SCNG became
the only small-cap company to join the OpenGIS Consortium as a principal
member; major new executive talent was brought in, and SCNG entered into
a business alliance with Oracle - something the analysts view as very significant.
The analysts say "these events collectively represent a pivotal point in
the emergence of Scangraphics as possibly a dominant force in the rapidly
growing GIS markets, and that the caliber of leadership now in place at the
company is sufficient to achieve all stated objectives."

The report details some interesting projections. By their estimates,
things won't begin to pick up until the 3rd quarter. A dramatic rise
in Sedona revenue is predicted for the fourth quater - which they expect
will generate 28 cents per share. The analysts write "We then expect sales
and earnings to ramp up considerably from there." Their 6-12 month target is
$7 and the 12-18 month target is $10-$12. BUT... they also write that
their "earnings model going forward may look a bit aggressive, but we feel
we have taken an overall conservative approach." They write "we are basing our
future revenue projections on a very conservative increase in market share."

I expect more. And I expect surprises. I am very confident about holding my shares
for a long time.

Scangraphics was also mentioned in an article in the December 1996 issue of
"Equities." One of their stock gurus, Samuel Braude, made SCNG one of his picks for
the year. He writes, "You're getting in on the ground floor where the company is
ready to take off. They have financing in place, strong management and
product. It's just a matter of time until they get it swinging."

The company currently is being very quiet. No press releases have come out
since November. They are hiring people - check out their web site
www.scangraphics.com ...Whether we will see any short term rises in the
stock price, who knows? Anything could happen. The stock price has
drifted down on low volume recently. It's probably a good time to buy.
