MSFT can be considered as an internet company.

First of all, without window operating software, individuals can not get onto the net.

Second, explorer browser, for good or bad, is a fundemental tool for the internet just like netscape.

Third, WebTV is a direction where MSFT is gearing towards. It may not happen for MSFT or it may happen for MSFT.

So there are great big companies you can invest into without going through cheap no-name fly by day small internet companies which you have not heard of. MSFT is one and so is CSCO. Both are the builders of the information super highway.
