This reminds me of the January numbers, in which R&D costs went up 50% (from memory). I recall that if PAIR had held R&D costs stable, the increase would have contributed an additional 4 cents/share, enough to blow out the estimates. Maybe the same could be said this time, too, in regard to 'operational efficiencies'.
If I'm right (always a big if), then PAIR could have beat its numbers for the past two quarters or more by purse-string measures alone. Instead, they're focused on top line growth.
Looking at the PAIR charts (and not just the one below), I'm a buyer of PAIR stock, and will continue to be for the forseeable future.
