Ron, thanks for that post - things are moving so fast.

I got a copy of the report from Weinberger in 1985 about global "hot spots", what actions would trigger negative reactions. The interactions of the us, china, india, pakistan, the middle east, and russia were like a dance that everyone had to step cautiously.

caution to the wind the past 19 days, everyone is on their own. when laws mean nothing and can be ignored by the superpower, well anything goes, and it is going.

I believe the intelligence operations we HAD were a hell of a lot better too.

China just came over and rubbed clinton's face in his own poop and warned him NOT to interfere with any of China's internal problems. Clinton has been warned, and there is no telling what he will do.

Did anyone notice that clinton stood to the side of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PRESIDENTIAL podium with the PRESIDENTIAL SEAL in full focus - and the communist just took control of the issues and outdoor press conference.

I was a little disconcerted at the symbolism in that and if THAT had been properly thought out - there would have been another podium expressly for the communist speaker. This just blew me away. A symbolic abdication.

Well, my internet connection is having fits, storms in Fort Worth coming this way. Gotta get off the net. Jacalyn
