Easily. A year ago, you could have bought AOL at 20 or so. AOL is now 160. That's 800% over the past year. If anyone made 800% over the past year trading, my hat is off to them. In addition, if you don't sell that AOL, you would have paid $0 in taxes while the person who made 800% trading would have to pay up to 40% or more to taxes.

BTW, has anyone thought about the valuation of AOL? It's worth $170 billion. It has about 10 million customers. Is a customer worth $17,000? DIS (which owns CapCities, ABC, theme parks, some of the most recognized character and movies in the world, etc.), CBS, and Time-Warner (Time, CNN, TNT, TBS, etc.) combined is only worth $200 billion. WTF?
