I have no love lost for the broker profession but you're not a victim or anything. It's all legitimate and happens quite often in NASDQ, rarely in NYSE stocks, but there is no plot involved as many would like to imagine. I'm fairly certain there was never a ASKED price at your 16 7/8. If there were, and your order was in prior, you could have a real complaint. Anyways, You might get a lower price tomorrow so be happy and if you think this is really the bottom just make it market and don't waste your time on useless conspiracy thoughts.
