Herb, Thanks for clarifying. VALUE is your calculation of momentum (and perhaps other technical factors) then, rather than fundamentals. After posting my earlier note, I looked back and saw that the stocks were near their highs on the 1998 date you used. Do you consider that the >7% short percentage criteria highlights "outliers" in their growth? (acting as a contrarian indicator of sorts, when taken in combination with high growth)? Paul
