To answer your question in part, we have to turn back the clock to the early days of the diamond rush, after diamets initial discovery a bunch of Canadian juniors rushed in and staked up the surround ground. Dentonia was part of the DHK syndicate (Dentonia, Horseshoe,Kettle River) They optioned their ground to Kennicot who were the operators. One large pipe was found and early drilling showed it had lots of micro diamonds. In the early days of the rush people would compare size of pipes and micro counts. The four big players in the area were Diamet, DHK,ABER and Mill city. Kennicot went underground on the DHK pipe to bulk sample, big things were expected but the bulk sample diamond count, particularly in macro diamonds was exceeding poor, hence DHK collapsed price wise and Kennicot moved over to the Aber ground. Mill city had a good micro count but their bulk sample was a bust so they crashed, while as you know abers counts just keep getting better and they have more then one pipe. Windspear has some kimberlite boulders with diamonds in them, including macros, indicator mineral trains and a number of targets. So how do you compare them........ Three juniors with a major, one pipe, a lot of expectations..... but a miserable bulk sample count and the insueing crash..... Windspear(a junior)along with Aber, some kimberlite boulders with diamonds, a number of targets........who knows? ( but pipes do tend to come in clusters) Thats my understanding of things, Ill leave the value comparisons to others Walt Humphries, Yellowknife Prospector |
