Synergies: JDS passive components + UNPH active components (pump lasers and chips) = optoelectronic modules for fiber net creators. The modules permit the carriers purchase integrated, perfectly meshed modules (I'm no techhie), reducing costs and time in componentry assembly that they no longer have to do themselves, the argument goes. Also, UNPH has assembled R&D expertise through acquisitions supposedly unparalleled in the optoelectronic segment. Regards. Liacos_samui
