My point was that I do not believe the people on this thread who assert that the U of WA will eviscerate the value of HGSI by "making HGSI's database obsolete." Further the 3 million share offering may be construed in a positive light also. It is better for a company facing the expense of FDA required drug testing to have adequate resources available rather than to wait until their cash position erodes. A recent Business Week article discussed how Merck did a less costly test and now cannot obtain the full market for its drug. Any marketable product that HGSI develops should be fully tested to maximize the commercial value.
