Great chart. I don't believe it. I have had experience with Fidelity and Suretrade and E*Trade. THERE IS NO WAY THAT FIDELITY AND SURETRADE are anywhere close to the same execution speed as DBS(under 5 seconds). I think that is because with Suretrade at least, the order has to go through one of their brokers first. Then they execute it. That can take several minutes. Sure, it might be 7.17 seconds after that broker has put the order in for the actual execution to take place. I think that they are not taking into account the time from when you put the order in. Only the time from when their broker puts the order in. Similarly with Fidelity. I won't even touch E*trade. I have yet to have an order executed in 6.09 seconds!!! (I sometimes use E*Trade to make a trade for my dad's account.)

All I know is...when I put in a limit order (that is the only type of order I use) on one of the large stocks or options like Dell or OEX options by the time I change screens from order entry to order status, the order is often already executed. It goes straight to the floor. What can I say? Actually experiencing it makes all the difference.

I know that it is a real pain to transfer accounts. When I transferred my account from Suretrade to my current broker, I had sold some stocks which went down in the meantime. Instead of crediting me with the prices at which they had been sold, they credited me with the prices at the time of the transfer. It was a nightmare to get it sorted out. So I can understand your trying to make a wise choice before you take the leap. Check the sites I posted to Adelle. They might help you choose the broker that would work best for you. And, GOOD LUCK!!

re: SVRN

I guess you and I goofed. Sometimes momentum is more important than float. That sector is HOT, HOT, HOT. But I'd rather be safe than sorry after my experiences. Congratulations to everyone who is holding SVRN. I'm very happy for you. Hope it explodes today.
