James - I am glad for you; when I can use my etrade, I am happy for me too. However, All etrade accounts should be working ALL THE TIME. Gomez.com - publisher of online brokerage ratings said they get hate mail from "millions" of people about all the brokerages online. it grew too fast and they can't handle the load. Well, in my humble opinion - etrade has had enough time and money to get their system updated and grown to accomodate ALL of their customers, AND to get a fail safe backup system operational to take over when the mother system fails. What if your quality of work performance was equivalent to etrade - how long would you last? Or if you had a surgeon whose performance was equivalent to etrade, would you undergo surgery and would the surgeon keep the license? Standards just keep getting lower and lower; I just can not keep accepting lower and lower standards. Jacalyn
