I am no expert but from what I have read ISDN is still alive at least until ADSL becomes a working reality in the business marketplace. ISDN is being implemented and will probably be around for awhile. ADSL will probably become reality but it won't be overnight.
I don't know if Proteon could be a buyout target or not but my view is that if they can continue to develop remote access products with their new division called OpenRoute and they have a decent balance sheet right with stockholders equity close to the stock price and if they can increase sales in the next couple of quarters even 10 to 20% this company is worth more than the current price.
