Actually, the remark about drawing the pus pot brigade into a less convivial forum has some relevance to your reasonable friend Bill. In case you haven't noticed, he and JLA and Les like to monitor my postings elsewhere, and mock them here. Good old Billy Boy did follow me into that forum once, where I took a pro-active stance. Oops, excuse me, I followed the reasonable Mr. Vaughn there, according to his telling, even though I'd been posting in that forum long before the esteemed Vaughn joined SI. Nobody else welcomed Mr. Vaughn's foray there. In fact, all who commented on our unfortunate exchange told Vaughn to go away, though he blamed it all on me. After that transpired, I dropped a little ps on a more on-topic post:
P.S. sorry for the unscheduled interruption with the esteemed Mr. Vaughn. I thought I walked away from the political cesspool, but to paraphrase the old Doors song, nobody gets out of there alive. I apologize for following Mr. Vaughn onto this thread. Message 8118228
To which the ever reasonable Mr Vaughn replied:
You just can't let it go. What's wrong with you? Message 8120406
To which I responded, sarcastically but with perhaps some truth, considering Vaughn's past lectures on "third party attacks":
I can't let go? How many unanswered attacks did you post about me on the so-called Sanity thread after I left? You sure can dish it out, Billy Boy. Big tough guy. Message 8120715
After which, of course, the reasonable Mr. Vaughn denied ever attacking me here when I stopped posting. About what I'd expect from the little liar. And, of course, there's considerable irony in the "can't let go" remark, in the context of this fetid all Clinton hatred, all the time forum. Or perhaps like your reasonable friends here, you find the lens of Clinton hatred a useful analytical tool? As you and the ever reasonable JLA agree, the Decline of the West is all due to Clinton, or liberals, or Communists, or me, the 4 classifications cases seem indistinguishable by local rhetorical standards. After all, when your "right", and anybody who disputes the centrality of the evil that is Clinton to all that's bad in the world is wrong, all's fair. |
