To All: CSCO Buying NETK!!!
Word on the street is that Cisco will announce within the next two months a buyout of Network Express (NETK). The company is the leader in ISDN technologies. The stock has a 52 week high/low of 3.50/19 and closed yesterday @ $10 +7/8. There are 10,600,000 shares outstanding (estimate). Supposed buyout in the $20-25 per share range. I will be buying a bunch of this company this morning at the opening bell due to the consistency of my source being correct about these things. Maybe someone else could comment on how these two companies would or wouldn't compliment each other. NETK's website is www.nei.com (check it out). I have included a portion of info that i obtained from their website below:
"Network Express, Inc. (NEI) is a Leader in ISDN Networking
NEI's products enable geographically dispersed organizations and individuals to communicate quickly, reliably, and inexpensively using ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network). ISDN is a high-speed switched digital service which offers users the distinct advantages of lower cost and higher speeds than conventional phone modem lines.
NEI's products, the NE ISDN InterHub, NE Secure, NE Link-1000, NE Fusion and NE ISDN Router, provide users with bandwidth-on-demand capability. That means users can dial up over conventional phone lines to add to their data transmission capacity only when needed. In so doing, users pay only for what they use, when they use it. This significantly reduces costs since users do not need dedicated data lines. Further, the NEI products allow users to transmit digital data at 6 to 25 times faster than conventional means.
NEI maintains headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and has offices in New York, San Ramon and Santa Rosa, Calif., New Jersey, Washington, D.C. in the USA. Worldwide it has offices in Tokyo Japan, Aldershot England, and Ismaning Germany.
Its stock trades on the NASDAQ national market system under the symbol NETK."
Good Luck and tell me what you think,
