Stu, I can't take the credit for that idea; I borrowed and expanded on a post by Paul Butler. Message 8863779 The point that I was trying to drive home is this: The higher the other discount brokers go, the higher the valuation & the higher the excitement will be when TD spins off its GLOBAL discount business. It's not just Waterhouse that they are spinning off, it's their entire discount business, including Green Line. This is the second largest in the world, second only to Schwab. Cheers, James
