With all the concern over PC sales, it seems like Seagate's quarter is quite a victory. I couldn't see any mention from conference call notes that sales were more troubled than usual.

So again we have to consider Compaq has put out a little disinformation to mask internal problems.

I suppose it was clear that Seagate is not giving any guidance over buying patterns that could be changed due to Y2K issues?

Any discussion of significance about drive sales for new applications like VCRs are set-top boxes?

What do you think of the real demand issues now that you've seen reports from Intel, Seagate and others? Do we have a problem in demand or is this normal seasonal issues exasperated by tighter control over inventory?

Regards, Mark
