Thanks for the excellent reference. It is well written and apparently comes from a person who should understand.

I go out of my way to avoid politics, and will continue to maintain that perspective, but this whole situation sure has a "Wag the Dog" smell to it and the reversal of U.S. policy on the KLA is worrisome. I find it interesting that the press has never mentioned the fact that Kosovo is the site of one of the world's truly great base metal mines. It provides an unusual percentage of the GDP produced by the region.

There are no anti-military leanings at this end, in fact, just the opposite ("walk softly and carry a big stick" has always made sense to me. Still, this thing is more than worrisome to me.
