Headline: RESEARCH ALERT - Pixar (NASDAQ:PIXR) raised to strong buy

LOS ANGELES, April 14 (Reuters) - Seidler Cos Inc. analyst
Jeff Logsdon raised his rating on computer animation film
company Pixar Inc to strong buy from buy on Wednesday based on
the upcoming video release of "A Bug's Life," among reasons.
-- said "Bug's Life" home video, set for release April 20,
could ship between 20 million and 30 million units worldwide at
average gross wholesale prices around $12 to $13 per unit.
-- sees profit of $10 per tape split evenly between Pixar
and "Bug's Life" partner, the Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS).
-- said pre-tax earnings for Pixar could be $70 million to
$95 million in 9- to 12-months on the "Bug's Life" video.
-- noted new movie "Toy Story 2," sequel to popular "Toy
Story" opens November 24, this year.
-- targets stock at $60 a share in year 2000.
-- Pixar stock was up 15/16 at 36-5/8 by mid-afternoon.
