Hi Pals, Experienced Another DOTCOM Visitation Portfolio Revelation:
Maybe I've been clicking the "refresh" button too much lately....
First, Yesterday GNET showed me The 909.
Today, AOL showed me a - 42 in my portfolio, one minute I click and its OK and the next minute the AOL stock plummets down to 117 with a minus 42 briefly around midday....Gasp!...then when I clicked again my portfolio became inaccessible and my whole browser froze; from sheer terror I guess! No, didn't like that ONE BIT...such a bad freeze I had to ctrl/alt/delete to get offline and even that was froze at first.... and so I called my broker; she looked it up and said it did show 117 for a moment but it was due to a trade imbalance and then it jumped back to 157 or so minus 1 7/8 for the last trade or some such. I don't see this on any intraday charts, but Pals It Happened.
Any thoughts on what this could mean? IMHO it either means GOOD NEWS- shortsellers went crazy on AOL and heading for the squeeze, or BAD NEWS some major block was dumped and will show up later as minus that kind of number and then it will dip low enough to sag it.
Being "The Glass is half full" kinda gal that I am with a tendency to pick The GOOD NEWS interpretation...might as well look forward to this Friday. The volumes are huge, lots of + ticks on all the stocks. I still smell cold crisp air and electric trains on my portfolio printouts. The intraday charts are starting to come back up at half hour before the close. What do you think?
909 Pals,
Joan
