Dennis, Re: "Will AMD's bad news this evening pan INTC tomorrow? Or will INTC be realized as the giant left standing and that CPQ's problems could have been K-6 related?"
Of late, any news takes INTC down. Even when it came out that AMD shipped 1.2 million chips less than planned, and you know that if the sockets waiting for them ultimately got filled, they'd say Intel, or most of them would...anyway, Intel went down the next day, even though it was ostensibly a windfall of sales for them.
Re: "I was hoping to find some incite on INTC, and was expressing my disagreement with Danny's opinion. I guess he can have his, but I can't."
I agree with your take on his words. Nowadays, especially in the USA, and especially more in California, you have to be careful what you say wrt political correctness. Now, I've got some opinions on Jesse Jackson's campaign against Silicon Valley companies and their hiring practices wrt EEO and AA, but I'm staying out of hot water.
