Don, i believe somebody finally downgraded something, infoseek if i'm not mistaken. i guess that put a little bit of a scare into the whole group. after all, if seek can be downgraded who knows what might be downgraded tomorrow? speaking of downgrades: it was fun to watch how they all came down on cpq after their earnings with the stock at 25 or so! anyway, today's action leads me to conclude that all that speculation in individual equity calls was probably concentrated in the tech sector. it is truly a rare event, to see the comp down 76 and the transports up 144. it looks like sector rotation at it's most extreme. finally some of those value investors will breathe a little easier... regards, hb
