do apple computers use microsoft applications?

Check out MacTopia for a Mac-centric view of things from Microsoft:
microsoft.com
Especially the "Who are we" section: microsoft.com

Microsoft is the one of the largest application developers for the Macintosh mostly on the strength of Office98 (which is a highly Mac-ified version of Office97). It is bundled with some Macs, but not with the iMac which has been selling so well. IE for the Mac (a completely different program from the Windows version) is the default browser on all Macs, but can be easily replaced with Navigator, which ships in a folder on all systems.
