Thanks for the insights. As you deduced, I misinterpreted your earlier post. We agree that News Corp. certainly makes more sense as a buyer than Safeguard. But waht's the inidication -- other than woefully undervalued shares -- that NM might be a target? And why in the next couple of weeks? Shed light, please, if your are free to do so.
I'm one of the growing throng (at least to judge by these threads) looking to leverage investment $$ through options. And like most posters trolling around for tutelage on the subject, I'm a neophyte. I have gnawing concern that this is speculative fever, with all the negative portents that carries.
Still, there are thrilling opportunities, and I'm coming to believe that for some companies, options are actually a more parcitcal investment vehicle than outright purchase or shorting of stock.
Whoops, off topic again. Anyway, interested in your thoughts on rationale for imminent buyout.
