I am not defending the actions of the ATF, which may have over acted on a percieved threat. But the fact remains that those people brought it upon themselves. Why did those children burn? Was the ATF barrackading the doors and shooting anyone that tried to get out? Why didnt those people let their children out? Why didnt they surrender and retain a lawyer, as any sane person would, if they were indeed in the right? You insist on placing the blame on the government, and refuse to hold David Khoresh and his followers responsible for their part in the tragedy that befell them. It never occurs to the ardent supporters of such dubious causes that these people *wanted* their children to burn, because it was prophesied and they were guaranteed a spot in heaven. It fails to amaze me how otherwise rational people could defend them, perhaps it is because rational people are unable to comprehend *inviting* a violent death.
