Question--- The ratio of 1=1.75 is as of what date and/or price?

I don't think they have said, but it's typically the average closing price during the 10 trading days immediately preceeding the closing date. That's a dangerous time to be holding, arbitrage activity can really screw one side or the other.

It happened to me on the JNJ takeover of Cordis. I got screwed, but eventually made it back.
