David,

Yeah, I wish I was as "lucky" as you <ggg>. The next few days should be very interesting. BTW, have you gotten any more definitive information on x2 PC cards?? I thought I read somewhere that not til late spring/early summer but when I was calling to find out what was going on with x2 about a week ago (seems like years ago), I was put on hold and a recording talking about x2 was playing. The recording mentioned that x2 PC cards would be out soon after the desktop modems and by the end of the first quarter.

Also, do you have any feel for how the ISP's are coming along? It sounds like AOL might be the first to offer x2. I understand it will be available in some test cities within days/weeks. I called Netcom and they said they planned on supporting it by the end of March but the guy said he couldn't promise me anything. Doesn't sound like he was the right guy to be talking to. It seems to me that once some of the bigger ISP's get x2 running, extremely strong competitive pressures will cause others to follow suit and quickly. I personally will not hesitate to drop Netcom if I can get x2 sooner from someone else. I believe many users (especially power users) will be dropping their ISP's if they don't support x2 relatively soon after it becomes available with other ISP's.

Regards,

FF
