Mark - a further comment on the effect of bashers on a stock, as you discuss re FCM (which I do own, though only a minute bit).
I was in ABFG, and when the price dropped, the bashers were there in droves, not just knocking the stock but attacking Daniel Miller, who was very bullish on it and also belittling anyone who could fall for such a scam. I had some VERY bright people tell me it was a TERRIBLE mistake for me to hang on, as it would probably drop to zero (mining gems in Madagascar? - does sound suspect). Anyway, my point is this. I let all the negativism affect me, and a couple of weeks ago I sold at a loss for 0.38 a share. Now it's getting almost legendary, closing up close to 3 dollars today. My having sold has cost me many thousands of dollars.
So, while I think we need to read all serious posters when we're big into a stock, be VERY careful who influences you. I've been told (don't know if it's true or not) that the ABFG board was attacked by enemies of young Daniel Miller, set out to discredit him. But in the end, they succeeded only in costing people like me a lot of money. The stock survived the apparently-unwarranted bashing.
Let's hope for the same with FCM.
Good to let this steam off, Raven |
