INFOCAST AS CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

TORONTO April 13, 1999 – InfoCast Corporation (NASDAQ BB symbol “IFCC”) announces the appointment of Alex
“Sandy” Walsh as Chief Technology Officer effective May 1, 1999.

Mr. Walsh joins InfoCast with over 14 years of professional software design experience specializing in graphic user interfaces
(GUI's), communications and database applications. Mr. Walsh was previously employed by Hummingbird
Communications, as Director of Research & Development for their Business Intelligence Group. In that role he led product
conceptualization and architectural design, working with industry partners to integrate complementary technologies. Mr.
Walsh's extensive experience in product development and technology integration supports the InfoCast mandate to provide
its clients with customized software and applications that form the basis for powerful information delivery networks.

USA-based InfoCast Corporation is in the business of electronic content delivery and information management to meet the
growing global market requirement for high-speed communications networking. It is intended that this delivery will be driven
from multiple communication platforms strategically positioned across North America (iHubs) and developed in relationship
with Sun Microsystems utilizing their Sun Enterprise 10,000 super computers. InfoCast is using a sophisticated distributed
architecture technology that offers the capability of secure, real-time Internet Protocol to Internet Protocol communication that
is network, operating system, database and hardware independent. This technology provides the infrastructure that enables
