I've used 6 or 7 discount brokers over the past 18 months and they all stink. Ameritrade was the worst, until WebStreet surpassed them. The SRO fox in the coop, called NASD, is a farce. They protect their members to the hilt, and the public be damned. The arbitration process is very lengthy, and doomed to disappointment. The arbitrators are loaded in favor of the members who are their prospective future employers. If we were not in a huge bull market, this would be a national scandal, IMO. Do not try Discover Brokerage, my current albatross. This morning, after 15 failed attempts to place orders, 'technical support' could not tell me why their screen said I had been "chosen a deadlock victim." They simply admitted that they were having problems. Jack Bridges
