Madera Announces Unveiling of Its New Division, Madera Herbs, and Its New Line of 20 Herbal Dietary Supplements Made From 100% Dry Natural Plant Products From the Amazon Rainforest
CORAL GABLES, Fla., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Madera International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WOOD - news) announced today that its new division Madera Herbs and its newly acquired laboratory are being officially unveiled and inaugurated in a ceremony today at its new location in Tabatinga, Brazil. An official unveiling will take place this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Company's plant facilities in Tabatinga. Local authorities and other government officials from as far as Manaus and Brasilia, will be present to hear speeches by local Ibama authorities and see product demonstrations by Raul Cuellar, Plant Production Supervisor.
Ray Fernandez, Chairman of WOOD, stated that ''everyone within our organization that has been involved in the production and marketing of these new herbal products, is extremely excited not only because of the economic potential which they represent to the Company's bottom line, but also with the benefits that these healthy products provide to each and every human being that consumes them. Some like Abuta, for example, have recently been proven to considerably reduce blood sugar levels in diabetic patients when taken regularly and in the appropriate dosage. One customer of ours that has been taking infusions of Abuta since August of 1998 under the advise of one of our naturist doctors, has seen his blood sugar level drop to a level ranging daily from 110-130, lower by half his standard level of almost 300 for the past 20 years. His doctor is so amazed that he told him that if he had taken this remedy sooner, he would still have his legs which he lost 2 years ago to complications from the disease.'' Mr. Fernandez also stated that ''another product which recently has been discovered to provide tremendous benefits is Ortiga, which has a strong calcium boosting agent and is being found useful in treating and preventing osteoporosis.''
Mr. Ramiro Fernandez-Moris, CEO of WOOD, stated that ''the Company's new business direction into marketing more types of environmentally friendly products, coupled with our coming quarters projection for timberland sales through our exclusive agreement with the Keyes Company and increased timber production, whereby lumber shipments will continue to grow in volume each quarter, will allow for a much more substantial growth period this fiscal year than we had previously anticipated. Numbers for our last fiscal year (1998-99), which will be released sometime in mid-May when the financial audit is completed, will show that the Company continues to grow at a considerable rate, but initial projections for this year with the new products surpass any growth predictions envisioned for the present fiscal year that began two weeks ago (March 31st).
