Ah, the old three day revolving charge. I was told a long time ago by one of my clients to always send your tax return and check in an odd sized envelope. They rip the checks out of the regular envelopes by automatic machine. The odd sized ones sit in a box until actual people can pull them out by hand. This gives you almost a week additional float! Comes in handy if you are sending a big check.
